1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all removal services booked with Eddy Leasing Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking, you (“the customer”) agree to these terms.

We act as a booking service. All removal work is carried out by self-employed contractors, who are responsible for their own tax, insurance, and legal obligations.

2. Contractors

The contractors we connect you with are not our employees. Each contractor must:

    • Pay their own tax and National Insurance.

    • Hold their own Public Liability Insurance.

    • Handle and transport items safely and professionally.

    • Accept liability for loss or damage caused by their actions.

We act only as a facilitator and are not responsible for how contractors perform their work.

3. Services

Our independent operators provide these services:

    • Domestic and commercial moves

    • Transport of furniture, personal belongings, and equipment

    • Loading and unloading assistance

Packing services are not included unless agreed before the job.

4. Customer Responsibilities

To help the job run smoothly, you must:

    • Provide clear access to properties and items.

    • Give an accurate description of the items to be moved.

    • Properly pack and protect fragile or valuable goods.

    • Tell us in advance if any items need special handling.

5. Booking and Payment

    • Bookings can be made by phone, email, or website.

    • Payment is due as soon as the job is completed, unless agreed otherwise.

    • A deposit (normally £100) may be requested for certain bookings.

    • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations may be charged.

6. Liability

We are not liable for:

    • Damage caused by blocked or difficult access, or by inaccurate item descriptions.

    • Delays caused by traffic, weather, or other unforeseen events.

    • Loss or damage caused by contractors acting outside the agreed service.

Contractors are individually responsible for any damage or loss caused by their actions.

7. Data Protection

We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Customer details are used only to deliver our services and will never be shared with third parties without consent. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

9. Updates

We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be published on our website and will apply immediately.
